Individual counseling
How does it work?

You’re hitting the same wall, over and over again.

You notice that your happiness at work has dropped considerably. You go to work but get little energy and satisfaction from it. You come home and notice your thoughts are still on your work or you ruminate about the days ahead, even though you should be sleeping. There is a constant sense of agitation that you can’t seem to rationalize away. You may have already made several attempts, such as a mindfulness app, listening to a podcast, or implementing breathing exercises. Unfortunately, without any (long-term) results.

Do you recognize these signals in yourself?

You...

fall asleep later because you ruminate about tomorrow

snap awake with a fast pulse and your head full of worries

don’t make your deadlines because you can’t focus

feel constant pressure on your chest

feel constant tension in your shoulders/neck

constantly clench your jaws

notice relationships are under pressure – you are unable to be truly present

wonder how much longer you can take this

Which steps can you expect?

A short introductory phone call to explore where your needs lie.
An online questionnaire, in which you can already map out a part of your daily life, so we can make the most of your intake.
An intake session of 60 minutes, which will determine the main focus of the counseling, followed by an intake report. Ideally, this meeting takes place in person but online is also possible.
If relevant/applicable: Concise support plan for your employer, as justification for the quotation and to give your employer insight into your development process (we never forward anything without your explicit consent). This gives the employer space to share their observations and/or concerns, to make the treatment even more effective.
7 sessions as starting point. In many cases, this is sufficient and even desirable to quickly get to the core of the issue and build future coping mechanisms. Sometimes we need more time, but we will always notify you in advance.

Feedback on the treatment. This can be provided in writing, over the phone, or in a three-way meeting with your supervisor, depending on your needs (and the relevance in relation to the content of the treatment).
